Interested in becoming a Krampus for Sioux Falls Krampusnacht? We’re a small group with a simple goal: bring authentic old-world folklore to downtown every December 5th. If you want to costume up and join the fun, here’s what we look for:
We do one main event a year on December 5th. Show up, stay in character, have fun, and help create the atmosphere.
No cheap Halloween-store masks. We follow an old-world style with fur, horns, full-face transformation, and rustic materials. Our costume guide lays out the standards.
Masks can be wood, latex, resin, fiberglass, or 3D printed — as long as they look authentic and not like modern movie monsters.
We growl, stomp, jingle bells, rattle chains, and interact with people — but always in good fun and never aggressively.
You don’t have to volunteer all year. Just be dependable for the December 5th event and any occasional group meetups or prep days.
We’re here to entertain families, celebrate folklore, and keep the tradition alive in Sioux Falls.
If that sounds like you, contact us, and inquire how to join. We’d love to add more creatures to the night.
