Every year on December 5th, Krampusnacht comes to downtown Sioux Falls. Our Krampus troupe takes to the streets with custom masks, fur-covered costumes, bells, and chains to bring this old Alpine tradition to life. It’s the one night a year you can meet Krampus in person, take photos, and be part of something strange, playful, and unforgettable.

Federal Plaza
12th Street and Phillips Avenue, Downtown Sioux Falls
This is our home base for 2025. Look for the music, the bells, and the unmistakable silhouettes of the Krampuses moving through the winter air. Parking is available throughout the downtown area, and everything is free to attend.

Photo Ops
Our Krampuses stay in full character, offering photos with families, holiday lovers, and folklore fans. The costumes are custom-made, rooted in old-world tradition, and built to look like they stepped straight out of the Alps.

We also hold a short Krampuslauf — a traditional “Krampus run.” Ours is more of a roaming walk through the plaza. You’ll hear the bells and chains before you see us. It’s lively, fun, and meant to feel like a living piece of folklore drifting through Sioux Falls.

We offer a small selection of merch to help cover material costs. Nothing required, nothing pushed, it just helps us keep the tradition going.

Our Krampusnacht is about atmosphere, tradition, and playful mischief. No jump scares for little kids. No aggressive behavior. Just an old-world winter creature visiting downtown Sioux Falls every December 5th.
